Spellbinders- North Pole Collection

Hi crafty friends!

Today, I’m thrilled to share four festive cards I created using the brand new North Pole Collection by Simon Hurley for Spellbinders, along with some other amazing Spellbinders products from their July release. Get ready for some holiday cheer!

Card 1: Cozy Wishes with Mrs. Claus

For my first card, I started by dry embossing some Coral cardstock with the Christmas Cameo 3D Embossing Folder. To enhance the beautiful raised details, I lightly inked the embossed areas with white pigment ink. The cozy wooden floor was created by die-cutting fawn cardstock.

The charming armchair is from the Stitched Study Nook Stitching Die Club of May 25. I die-cut it from dark green cardstock and added delicate stitching with gold metallic thread, giving it that luxurious quilted look.

Mrs. Claus herself was die-cut using The Clauses Dies. I die-cut her hair from white cardstock and then added a touch of gray with a marker for dimension.

And guess who’s lounging in the chair? A sweet white cat, also die-cut from the Stitched Study Nook Stitching Die Club set! The oval rug beneath the chair was also die-cut from this same versatile Stitched Study Nook Stitching Die Club set.

The sentiment, “COZY WISHES,” was hot foiled in white onto Poppy cardstock using a sentiment from this month’s BetterPress Club, then die-cut and adhered with foam adhesive for a pop of dimension.

Card 2: Winter Wonderland with Polar Bears

This card features a magical night sky! I began by hot foiling the Snowfall Shimmer BetterPress Plate from the Merry Moments Collection with matte silver foil.

After foiling, I colored over it with Uncharted Marine ink and then misted it with water, which created a stunning, ethereal night sky effect.

The adorable polar bear family was created using the Polar Bear Pals Dies. I lightly colored the mom and baby bears with gray markers to add depth and make them more realistic.

For the snowy hills, I used the Color Block Scenic Scape Dies and die-cut them from the Brushed Metallic cardstock from the Antique Assorted Pack. This paper truly brings the snow to life with its beautiful shimmer and texture, which is even more stunning in person!

The sentiment, “COZY WISHES,” for this card was also hot foiled with matte silver onto Indigo cardstock using the same plate as Card 1, then die-cut. Finally, I added some sparkling gems to complete the snowy scene.

Card 3: Sparkling Snowflakes & Elves

Here’s a little trick for getting more mileage out of your hot foil! For the background of this card, I took the leftover hot foil from Card 2 and hot foiled it onto white cardstock using a Solid Hot Foil Plate. This created a gorgeous, shimmering background with delicate white snowflakes – it’s both beautiful and economical!

The snowy hills are the same as in Card 2, using the same die and Brushed Metallic cardstock.

The mischievous elves were die-cut with Santa’s Elves Dies and adhered with foam stickers for added dimension.

The sentiment, “NORTH POLE” and “TOY SHOP,” were die-cut from the North Pole Sentiments Die Set and placed prominently in the center.

Card 4: Cheerful Snowmen

My final card features two cheerful snowmen! I dry embossed Blushed cardstock from the Aquamarine Assorted Treasured Cardstock with this month’s 3D Embossing Folder Club.

To make it sparkle even more, I splattered it with a glittery medium.

The snowy hills, like in cards 2 and 3, were created using the same paper and die-cut. The delightful snowmen and the “LET IT SNOW” sentiment were all crafted using the North Pole Sentiments Dies. To add a final touch of sparkle, I embellished both this card and Card 2 with glittering gems.

I hope you enjoyed this look at the new Spellbinders North Pole Collection! Which card is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below!
