Sending Birthday Blooms
First up, let’s talk about the Summer Bouquet Stamp and Cut set. This set is simply charming!
This set is simply charming! I was immediately drawn to the elegant image of hands holding a lovely bouquet. For my card, I stamped and colored the image with markers, bringing the blossoms to life with a mix of soft pinks, purples, and greens. I then used the coordinating dies to cut out the image perfectly.
To really make the bouquet pop, I layered it onto a deep navy blue card base. For the sentiment, I chose “sending birthday blooms.” I stamped this sentiment using VersaMark ink and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder, which creates a beautiful, raised, and glossy finish that really stands out against the dark background.
This card feels sweet and sophisticated, and I love how the vibrant colors of the bouquet stand out against the darker background.
Thanks a Bunch
Next, I dove into the Layered Hydrangea Die set, and oh my goodness, these dies are a dream to work with!
Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers, and this set allows you to create incredibly realistic and dimensional blooms.
I die-cut several layers of the hydrangea petals in varying shades of purple cardstock to create a beautiful gradient effect, from lighter lavender to deeper violet. Layering them up gives such a wonderful 3D effect, making the hydrangea truly come alive on the card. I also cut out the accompanying leaves in a vibrant green, adding to the natural look.
For this card, I opted for a soft, light blue card base, which complements the purple hydrangeas perfectly and evokes a serene, summery feel. To complete the card, I added the sentiment “thanks a bunch” from the Summer Bouquet Stamp set and Cut set. This sentiment was die-cut from black cardstock, which provides a nice contrast and bold statement, and then adhered directly to the card. This card is bursting with texture and dimension, and it was a lot of fun to assemble!
Both of these sets from the Hero Arts Seaside Blooms Collection are fantastic additions to any crafter’s stash. Whether you love to color intricate images or build beautiful layered die-cut designs, these sets offer endless creative possibilities.
I hope these cards inspire you to explore the new Hero Arts July release. Which set is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below!
Happy crafting!
