Halloween Fun with Spellbinders August Press & Foil Club!

Hello, crafty friends! Today I’m excited to share two Halloween cards featuring the Spellbinders August 2026 Press & Foil Club Set, titled “Boo! Humbug”, along with a mix of this month’s fabulous club kits!

Spooky & Playful Shadow Ghost Card

Pressing the Shadow Background: I started by pressing the spooky shadow ghost image and the “BOO! HUMBUG” sentiment onto Alabaster cardstock using BetterPress Black Ink. To add an eerie glow, I blended vibrant yellow ink along the bottom section of the panel.

Adding the Cute Ghost Element: Next, I die-cut the friendly ghost using the coordinating die included in the set from white cardstock. I layered the cute ghost right over its scary black shadow silhouette, creating a hilarious and adorable contrast!

Framing & Assembly: To frame the focal scene, I die-cut an arch window from black cardstock and mounted it over the pressed panel, bringing the whole design together seamlessly.

Cute But Potentially Cursed Potion Card

Creating the Textured Background: For the second card, I embossed Carrot cardstock using the Happy Jacks Embossing Folder (Embossing Club) and shaded the corners with ink to build depth across the background.

Crafting the Potion Scene: I paired the cute ghost die-cut from the Boo! Humbug Press & Foil Club with potion flasks and a baby ghost from this month’s Boo Crew Lab Small Die Club. I arranged the ghost so it looks like it’s pouring green potion into the blue flask containing the tiny baby ghost—just like feeding a baby!

Adding Sentiments & Embellishments: For the sentiment, I heat-embossed “CUTE BUT POTENTIALLY CURSED” from this month’s Clear Stamp & Die Club (Trick or Snark Set) onto Raven cardstock with white embossing powder, die-cut it, and popped it up with foam adhesive. Finally, I scattered iridescent sequins around the potion bottles to look like bubbling, fizzing magic!
