Slow Crafting for the Holidays: Spellbinders Dear Santa Card’

For me, there is nothing like the joy of choosing the perfect paper, die-cutting each delicate piece, and assembling them into a layered masterpiece.

Today, I’m thrilled to share a festive, dimension-rich holiday card I created using the gorgeous dies and stunning monthly club products from Spellbinders.
The Background: For a beautiful, rustic texture, I embossed a piece of Chiffon cardstock using the Market Crates 3D Embossing Folder of the Month (Apr 26). It provides the perfect soft, detailed backdrop for the festive layers.
The Envelope & Letter: Using the Happy Post Envelope Etched Dies, I die-cut a striking green envelope from Midnight Green cardstock and tucked a crisp white letter inside.
The Sentiment: The bold “DEAR SANTA” greeting was created using the upcoming Snowflake Kisses Sentiments BetterPress plate. I hot-foiled the sentiment in white onto vibrant Poppy cardstock, then cleanly die-cut it to anchor the card.
The Fine Details: To seal the letter with an elegant touch, I added a gorgeous faux wax seal element die-cut from the Gold Assortment Treasured Cardstock.
Festive Adornments: Finally, I brought the design to life by dressing up the area around the envelope with beautifully layered, die-cut holiday elements—including a bright red poinsettia, festive berries, holly leaves, and a slice of orange—all from the Festive Floral Mix Etched Dies.
Creating this card reminded me why I fell in love with paper crafting in the first place—the magic is truly in the details. By opting for the die bundle and combining it with your favorite embossing folders, you can control every texture and color to create something truly unique for the people you love this Christmas.
