Perfectly Chill: Summer Soda Fun

This card is the ultimate summer refresher! It brings together several of the Spellbinders May 2026 Clubs to create a playful, sun-drenched scene.

I started by using the Radiant Day 3D Embossing Folder on white cardstock to create that gorgeous, textured sunburst background. For the focal points, I returned to the May Large Die of the Month (Pop of Summer), featuring a happy bird and a refreshing soda can filled with summer treats like watermelon and a tropical umbrella.

The real “fizz” on this card comes from the soda can itself! I die-cut the can from Lavender cardstock and then used the May Stencil of the Month Club (Dots of Summer) to create a bubbly, polka-dot pattern. It adds such a fun, effervescent feel to the drink! The sentiment, “May your summer be perfectly chill,” is from the May Clear Stamp and Die of the Month (Burst of Summer), stamped in black to keep the focus on the bright colors.

Step-by-Step Process

  • Step 1: Emboss a white cardstock panel using the Radiant Day 3D Embossing Folder to create a subtle but high-impact background.

  • Step 2: Die-cut the soda can from Lavender cardstock using the Large Die of the Month set.

  • Step 3: Use the Dots of Summer Stencil and some purple ink to add the bubbly pattern onto the soda can for extra detail.

  • Step 4: Die-cut the remaining summer elements: the bird, straw, watermelon slice, and umbrella using a variety of bright cardstock colors.

  • Step 5: Assemble the scene by “filling” the soda can with the summer accessories and placing the happy bird nearby.

  • Step 6: Stamp and die-cut the sentiment from the Clear Stamp of the Month and attach it with foam tape for a bit of lift.
