Christmas Gift Tags with Tim Holtz Festive Overlay Stamp and Coordinating Dies

This post features two Christmas gift tags made with the Tim Holtz Festive Overlay Stamp Set (CMS357) and Simon Says Stamp’s coordinating dies. One tag features a red cardinal on a branch, and the other features a pretty holly wreath.
Cardinal Gift Tag
Tag Base:
- The tag was cut with the Layered Scallop Tags (S1097) dies. A white scalloped panel was layered on a Spellbinders Cranberry cardstock base.
Background:
- The white panel was embossed with Simon Says Stamp’s Melbourne Embossing Folder (sf537) for a soft, textured look.
Image:
The cardinal image from October’s Festive Overlay Stamp Set (CMS357) was stamped with black ink and colored, then cut out with October’s coordinating Festive Overlay Wafer Dies (357sss) and added to the panel.
Sentiment:
The sentiment from October’s Festive Overlay Stamp Set (CMS357) was stamped on Gina K Designs Pine cardstock and heat embossed in white, then cut out with October’s coordinating Festive Overlay Wafer Dies (357sss) and added below the bird.
Finishing:
A red and black checked ribbon was inserted through the tag hole first, then May Arts Ivory Twine String Burlap was tied over it in a bow.
Holly Wreath Gift Tag
Tag Base:
The tag was cut with the Layered Scallop Tags (S1097) dies. A white scalloped panel was layered on a Gina K Designs Pine cardstock base.
