Life is Short, Buy the Purse: A Designer Pop-Up Card
Hello everyone!
If you have a friend who loves designer bags, this card is absolutely perfect for them. Featuring the Designer Purse Etched Dies from the We All Have Baggage Collection, this project mimics a high-end boutique display with a fun pop-up surprise.
Create the Background: Use Indigo Cardstock for a deep, luxurious backdrop. Stamp “Life is short” from the Keep Calm Sentiments set by Hero Arts and heat emboss it with White Embossing Powder. To give it that high-end display feel, splatter Silver Pearl Watercolor across the panel to create a shimmering, starry effect.
Die-Cut the Purses: * For the first bag, use Carrot Cardstock paired with Silver Metallic Cardstock for the hardware.
For the second bag, use Teal Topaz and Waterfall Cardstock, adding Gold Cardstock accents for the buckles and handles.
Prepare the Pop-Up Elements: Create a white pop-up base for the bottom of the card. Stamp the “Buy the purse” sentiment onto the base and apply Clear Heat Embossing to give it a raised, sophisticated finish.
Assembly: Adhere the Teal Topaz bag directly to the background on the right. Then, use a pop-up element to attach the Orange bag, giving it dimension so it stands out like a real storefront display.
Finishing Touches: To add extra sparkle, scatter a few Crystal Gems around the indigo background, catching the light and completing the glamorous look.
