Squeeze the Day: A Refreshing Pink Lemonade Card
Everything about a cool glass of pink lemonade feels like pure sunshine. Today’s project features the Pink Lemonade Collection, and there is something so charming about creating scenes that reflect the simple, sweet moments of everyday life.
To build the foundation, white cardstock was embossed using the Brick by Brick 3D Embossing Folder. This crisp, textured background provides the perfect “outdoor wall” feel for a summer drink stand.
For the base of the lemonade stand, a creative twist was used: the base of a sign stand was repurposed to act as a sturdy wooden shelf. To give it an authentic woodgrain texture, it was die-cut from Fawn cardstock and detailed with markers to mimic natural wood planks.
The focal elements—the pitcher, glass, lemons, and strawberries—were all created using the Pink Lemonade Stand Etched Dies. To achieve a realistic and dimensional look, several techniques were combined:
Layered Cardstock: Elements were die-cut from a palette of Seaside, Blush, and Beeswax cardstock.
Ink Blending & Markers: After die-cutting, depth was added by blending inks and using markers to create shadows and highlights, making the fruit and drinks pop off the page.
Fine Details: A white gel pen was used to add crisp highlights, giving the glass and pitcher a polished, reflective finish.
To bring a sense of “fizz” and refreshment to the design, Chameleon Opalescent Color Essentials Sequins were scattered around the drinks. These sequins catch the light beautifully, mimicking the bubbles in a cold glass of lemonade. The final sentiment, “Squeeze the Day,” was die-cut using the Pink Lemonade Stand Tags Etched Dies, perfectly completing this bright and cheerful card.
