Elegant Wild Roses in Full Bloom
Hello, crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a card that feels like a walk through a vintage rose garden. This project features the beautiful Simon Says Stamp Wild Rose Stamps and Dies, and it’s all about creating a lush, floral frame with just a few key pieces.
- The Base: I used Bellini cardstock for the card base to provide a warm, soft foundation that complements the floral design.
The Floral Frame: I stamped and die-cut two of the large rose clusters from the Wild Rose set. To create a full, balanced look, I positioned them in opposite corners.
Smart Fussy Cutting: After tucking the roses into the corners, I trimmed the overhanging edges and reused those smaller rose pieces in the other corners to complete the floral border.
The Sentiment Focal Point: For the center, I used the Chunky Scalloped Ovals Wafer Dies to create a clean, elegant stage for the sentiment. I chose a heartwarming message from the same set and stamped it in crisp black ink.
Adding Dimension: To make the flowers truly pop, I attached the two main rose clusters using foam stickers. This creates beautiful shadows and a 3D effect that brings the garden to life.
Finishing Touches: I finished the card with several antique gold embellishments to add a touch of vintage elegance and shine.
This card is a great example of how you can maximize your stamp images by cutting and repositioning them to fit your layout perfectly!
I hope this elegant floral design inspires your next crafting session.
Happy Crafting, Heejung
