Vintage BetterPress Dressform & Fresh Picked Buttercups Card

Hello crafty friends! I am back today to share another elegant project featuring the stunning Buttons & Keepsakes Collection by Frank Garcia for Spellbinders. For this card, I wanted to create a striking visual contrast by combining a detailed, bold pattern with shimmering layers and beautiful floral accents. It has a wonderful vintage sewing room vibe that is absolutely perfect for anyone who loves textiles, fashion, or fine handmade details.

Crafting the BetterPress Background: I started by creating the intricately patterned background using the Vintage Atelier Press + Foil Plate by Frank Garcia. I pressed this beautiful fashion-themed plate onto soft blush-toned cardstock using rich black BetterPress ink to achieve a crisp, letterpress-style print.

Adding Architectural Depth: To frame my focal point beautifully, I used the Arch Punch & Pierce Plate Etched Dies from the Regal Reflections Collection. I die-cut this detailed arch from deep Raven ColorWheel Cardstock and layered it directly onto the center of the patterned background.

Assembling the Glamorous Dressform: Next, I put together the main focal piece using the Couture Dressform Etched Dies by Frank Garcia. The elegant vintage stand and the dress’s waist ribbon were die-cut from warm Beeswax cardstock. For the dress itself, I used a gorgeous, shimmering silver glitter cardstock. To soften the look while keeping the sparkle, I die-cut the skirt portion from a Vellum Sheet and carefully trimmed the bottom edge with scissors so that the stunning silver glitter beautifully peeks through underneath!

Floral Embellishments & Sentiment: For a fresh, lively touch, I brought in a classic favorite: the Fresh Picked Buttercups Etched Dies. I die-cut these lovely buttercup flowers and clustered them around the bottom left of the black arch frame. Finally, I created the sentiment using the Heirloom Words Press + Foil Plate & Die Set by Frank Garcia, applying a gorgeous matte gold hot foiling to clean white cardstock and popping it into place.

Thank you so much for joining me today! Combining the detailed BetterPress background with the sparkling dressform and cheerful buttercups was such a fun creative process. I hope this inspires you to look through your collection and combine different die sets to make something uniquely beautiful. Until next time, happy crafting!
