Simple & Sweet Blooms: Hero Arts June Fresh Flowers Collection
Hello crafty friends! Today, I’m sharing a beautifully clean and simple card featuring the gorgeous Fresh Flowers Collection from the new Hero Arts June release. For this project, I fell completely in love with the Sweet Blooms Die Set. The simple, elegant flower dies in this set are so charming and versatile that I just know I will be reaching for them again and again in my future crafting!
Before assembling the main elements, I wanted to add a subtle touch of texture to the crisp white card base. I started by lightly coloring the background with watercolor splatters. To give it a bit more drama and a fine pattern, I then used a deep navy watercolor ink to create a beautiful, delicate splash pattern across the card surface.
Once the background was ready, I focused on bringing the flowers and greetings to life:
The Flowers: I die-cut the beautiful blooms from white cardstock and used a blending brush to add soft, lovely pink shades using the Pinks Core Ink Pad Cubes from Hero Arts.
The Leaves & Stems: I die-cut the greenery from Rainforest cardstock and then added extra depth by coloring them with the Fresh Greens Core Ink Pad Cubes (Hero Arts).
The Sentiments: For the perfect greeting, I used the Perfect Pairs Stamp & Cut set from Hero Arts. I stamped and die-cut the bold “HELLO” and the coordinating “YOU’VE BEEN ON MY MIND” sentiment strip, then layered them onto the card.
Finishing Touches: I arranged the flowers and stems beautifully at the bottom of the card and added a touch of sparkle by finishing it off with Denim Color Essentials Gems.
Sometimes, less is truly more! I love how the vibrant pink flowers pop against the artistic navy splatters, making this simple card feel so special and intentional.
