Hello, everyone! Today, I want to share some cards I made that are filled with warm, autumnal vibes. I created three apple cards using the new September release from Hero Arts, the I Pick for you Collection. This collection features adorable apple motifs and charming designs. Let’s take a look at how I made each one!
Card 1: 'You're the sweetest'
For this card, I layered a piece of white cardstock on top of a dark green one. I used the Spellbinders Lush Leaves 3D Embossing Folder to create a beautiful, textured leaf pattern on the white background, which added depth and visual interest.
The main element is from the Apple Branch Stamp & Cut Set within the I Pick for you Collection. I stamped the apple branch and then colored it with markers. After die-cutting it, I attached it to the center of the card with foam stickers to give it a nice three-dimensional lift.
I used the In the Orchard Stamp & Cut set for this card. I started by stamping the apple tree, ladder, and other images onto white cardstock. After coloring them with markers, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
The base of the card is a beautiful Seaside colored cardstock. I attached all the die-cut images to this background using foam stickers to give them dimension.
For the frame, I used the Nesting Rectangle Infinity Die to cut a frame from white cardstock. I layered this white frame onto the card, then used the same die to cut a smaller frame from Indigo cardstock and layered that on top. This created a lovely matting effect that beautifully frames the scene.
The sentiment, ‘I’ll pick you every time’, was stamped on black cardstock with VersaMark ink. I applied white embossing powder and used a heat tool to emboss it before die-cutting and attaching it to the card.
This card features a striking apple frame created with the Apple Frame Die. I die-cut the frame from white cardstock and then used the coordinating Apple Frame Color Layering Stencils to add vibrant color.
For the background, I shaded the edges of Seaside cardstock with Pool Party ink to create a subtle, dimensional look. To add even more depth, I die-cut the apple frame two more times and layered all three pieces on top of the shaded background. I then added a final white frame cut with a Nesting Rectangle Die.
The sentiment ‘Have a delicious day’ is from the You’re Golden Stamp and Cut Set. I stamped it in black ink, die-cut it, and attached it to the center of the card with foam stickers. I also die-cut and colored the small apple blossoms to decorate the frame and finished the card with some Clear Hero Hues Enamel Dots for a little extra shine.
