Spellbinders- All About Christmas Collection

Welcome to my blog. Today, I’m excited to share three beautiful Christmas cards created with the new “All About Christmas Collection” by Lisa Horton from Spellbinders. This collection is perfect for making elegant and whimsical holiday cards with its beautiful dies, stamps, and embossing folders.
Let’s dive into the details of each project!
A Joyful Floral Christmas
Products Used:
Embossing Folder: Peppermint Stripes
Die Set: Christmas Foliage
Stamp & Die Set: Christmas Sentiments
Cardstock: Indigo, Blush, Tutu, Waterfall, Blue Spruce, Gold Metallic
Emboss a piece of Indigo cardstock with the Peppermint Stripes embossing folder to create a textured background.
Splatter the embossed panel with white paint to create a snowy or starry effect.
3. Die-cut the flowers from Brushed and Tutu cardstock using the Christmas Foliage die set.
4. Die-cut the leaves from Waterfall and Blue Spruce cardstock with the same die set.
5. Arrange and adhere the die-cut flowers and leaves onto the embossed background.
6. For the sentiment, stamp “Have a Joyful” onto cardstock with pink ink and die-cut it.
7. Die-cut the word “Christmas” from Gold Metallic cardstock, layering 2-3 of the die-cuts for dimension, and adhere it to the card.
8. Finish the card by adding small gold embellishments for extra sparkle.
Shimmering Starry Merry Christmas
Products Used:
Embossing Folder: Wishing Stars 3D Embossing Folder
Die Sets: Essential Stars, Christmas Foliage, Merry Sentiments, Christmas Sentiments
Cardstock: Fog, Gold Brushed, Black Glitter
Emboss a piece of Fog cardstock using the Wishing Stars 3D embossing folder.
Use a blending brush and black ink to create a gradient effect, starting from the top of the embossed panel and blending downwards.
Color the raised, embossed stars with a gold metallic marker.
4. Die-cut a large star from Gold Brushed cardstock using the Essential Stars die. Attach it to the card with foam stickers for dimension.
5. Die-cut the holly leaves and berries from the Christmas Foliage die set and adhere them to the top of the star.
6. Die-cut “Merry” from the Merry Sentiments die set and “Christmas” from the Christmas Sentiments die set, both using Gold Brushed cardstock.
7. Create a layered effect by die-cutting the same words from Black Glitter cardstock and adhering them as a shadow layer behind the gold words.
8. Attach the layered sentiment to the center of the star.
Little Birdies in a Winter Wonderland
Products Used:
Embossing Folder: Starry Snowfall 3D Embossing Folder
Die Sets: Little Birdies
Cardstock: Windy, Poppy, White Glitter
Stamp & Die Set:Merry Sentiments
Emboss Windy color cardstock with the Starry Snowfall 3D embossing folder to create a snowy background.
3. Die-cut the little birds and branches using the Little Birdies die set.
4. Die-cut the snow for the branches and the letters from White Glitter cardstock.
5. For the sentiment, stamp “Little Christmas” from the Merry Sentiments stamp set onto Poppy cardstock using Versamark ink.
6. Apply white embossing powder and heat-emboss it with a heat tool.
7. Die-cut the embossed sentiment.
8. Die-cut the word “Merry” from both Poppy cardstock and white cardstock.
Layer the white die-cut “Merry” slightly behind the Poppy one to create a shadow.
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.
9. Adhere the die-cut snow pieces on top of the “Merry” letters and the branches to give a frosted, snowy appearance.
10. Assemble and adhere all the die-cut elements onto the embossed background.
