Spellbinders- Aug 25, EOM, Large Die Club
This post focuses on two cards made using Spellbinders’ August Club Kits. The common element among these projects is the use of an embossing folder from the Embossing Folder Club of Aug. 25 (2D) – Coral Impression.
Mermaid in a Bottle Card
This dimensional card features a whimsical underwater scene inside a bottle. The bottle shape is from the Large Die Club of June 23 (DOML- JUN 23) “Whale in the bottle” set. The waves, small coral, and seaweed are also from this same die set.
The mermaid and castle were die-cut from the Large Die Club of Aug 25 (DOML-AUG25) “Splash Tales” set.
The background inside the bottle was first die-cut and then embossed using the “Coral Impression” embossing folder from the August Embossing Folder Club. Blue ink was blended over the embossed background to enhance the underwater feel. The small fish were die-cut using the August Small Die Club set.
The sentiment “SENDING A SPLASH OF HAPPY” is from the August Stamp and Die Club. To create the curved look, the clear stamp was carefully bent on a MISTI stamping tool before stamping.
Goldfish in a Bag Card
This second card features a single goldfish in a plastic bag. The background is an Ocean-colored cardstock panel embossed with the “Coral Impression” embossing folder.
The plastic bag shape was die-cut using the Large Die Club of Aug 25.
The water inside the bag was given a slight shading of ink to create a watery effect. The sentiment “MAKE A SPLASH” was die-cut from carrot-colored cardstock using a letter die from the same Large Die Club set and adhered to the front of the card.
