Interactive Holiday Magic with Spectacular Santa

Hello crafting friends!

Today, I’m thrilled to share a super fun interactive card featuring the Spectacular Santa Etched Dies from the Spectacular Christmas Collection.

I made Santa’s head wobble and spin back and forth when you move the card! For this interactive effect, I used the brand-new Card Spinners – 12 Pack Assortment from Spellbinders. If you’ve ever made a spinner or slider card before, you know the struggle—usually, you have to cut a track into the card base, use coins as weights, and build up multiple layers of thick foam tape to give it room to move. But these new Card Spinners make it unbelievably easy! You simply adhere the spinner directly to the card surface and attach your die-cut piece on top. No extra layers, no bulk, and no hassle!

Create the Snowy Background: Take a panel of Breeze Cardstock and foil the Sprinkled Confetti Press Plate (from the Home for the Holidays Collection) using white hot foil to create a beautiful falling snow background. Adhere this panel to a white card base.

Add the Spinner Element: Adhere a Card Spinner to the card background where Santa’s head will sit. Attach Santa’s assembled head directly onto the spinner so it can wobble freely.
Create the Sentiments: Foil the “SO MERRY” and “HO HO HO” sentiments from the Snowflake Kisses Sentiments Press and Hot Foil Plate (from the Lisa Horton Snowflake Kisses Collection) using white hot foil on Poppy Cardstock. Die-cut them with the matching strip dies and adhere them to the top right of the card.

I am absolutely in love with how this interactive card turned out! The way Santa’s head happily wobbles side to side adds the perfect whimsical touch to holiday greetings, and the new Card Spinners made the entire process incredibly quick and stress-free.
