Simon Says Stamp July Release: Textured Floral Birthday Card
Hello, crafty friends! Today, I’m excited to share a soft and dimension-filled birthday card featuring new products from the Simon Says Stamp July release. If you love subtle textures, delicate ink blending, and beautiful floral focal points, this card will definitely inspire your next crafting session!
Craft the Textured Background:
Take a blush cardstock panel and run it through your die-cutting machine using the Simon Says Stamp Flower Puff Embossing Folder (sf600 Every Happiness) to create a gorgeous raised pattern.
Using a blending brush, gently apply blush ink over the embossed design to add soft shading and highlight the intricate details.
Create the Window Frame & Dimension:
Die-cut an oval window out of a white cardstock panel.
Mount the white window panel over your embossed background using foam tape/stickers to create instant depth and dimension.
Assemble the Floral Focal Point:
Die-cut the flowers from the new ButterBloom Flowers die set out of white cardstock, and color them using blending brushes with the PinkFresh Studio Indian Summer Dye Ink Pad Cube Pack.
Die-cut the leaves and stems from green cardstock.
Layer the floral pieces together with foam adhesive to give the flower cluster its own pop of dimension inside the oval window.
Add the Heat-Embossed Sentiment:
Stamp the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the Simon Says Clear Stamps Garden Greetings (sss202189c) onto black cardstock using VersaMark ink.
Heat emboss with white embossing powder for a crisp, high-contrast look, then die-cut and adhere it over the card.
Finishing Touches:
Accent the card with Craft Consortium Essential Elements Silver Pearls for a subtle, elegant touch of shine.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope this delicate floral birthday card brings a little sunshine to your day and gives you fun ideas for the new Simon Says Stamp July release. Happy crafting!
