Cozy Holiday Wishes with the Spectacular Bear

Hello crafting friends! Today, I’m excited to share another fun project from the July release. If you remember the “ugly sweater” card I made a few days ago using the July Embossing Folder of the Month, you’ll recognize the technique used for this card background!

This time, I created a cozy sweater base using Poppy Cardstock and die-cut the neckline with an oval die, aligning it perfectly with the rounded pattern of the embossing folder. Standing front and center is the adorable polar bear from the Spectacular Bear Etched Dies, all dressed up for the holidays! I die-cut the bear using white and Foggy Cardstock, then added his festive red glasses topped with cute little Christmas trees. His matching beanie and scarf were crafted using Waterfall and Teal Topaz Cardstock for a perfect wintry pop of color. To finish it off, he is holding a bright gift box featuring a heat-embossed sentiment from this month’s Clear Stamp & Die Club, Cue the Merry, stamped in white embossing powder.

Create the Sweater Background: Die-cut the top of a Poppy Cardstock panel with an oval die to create the sweater’s neckline. Emboss the panel using the July Embossing Folder of the Month, ensuring the pattern aligns beautifully with the curved cut line.

Assemble the Polar Bear: Die-cut the polar bear pieces from white cardstock and his shadow/muzzle details from Foggy Cardstock. Assemble the pieces to bring the character to life.

Add Festive Accessories: Die-cut the beanie and striped scarf out of Waterfall and Teal Topaz Cardstock. Die-cut the signature glasses from red cardstock and add the tree decorations on top, then layer everything onto the bear.

Prepare the Sentiment & Gift: Stamp the “Merry Christmas” sentiment from the Cue the Merry Clear Stamp Set onto the gift box using clear ink, then heat-set it with white embossing powder.

Complete the Card: Adhere the sweater background to a white card base, then place the fully assembled polar bear holding his gift box right in the center with foam adhesive for extra dimension.

I really love how this cozy little bear turned out, and that embossed sweater background just makes me want to curl up with a cup of hot cocoa! I hope this card brings a smile to your face and gives you some fun ideas for your holiday crafting. Thank you so much for stopping by today!
