Vibrant Summer Greetings with the Hero Arts My Monthly Super Hero Kit!

Happy July! Today, I am incredibly excited to share a card that is absolutely bursting with fresh, vibrant summer energy. For this project, I am featuring some very special exclusive items found only in the Hero Arts My Monthly Super Hero Kit.

This card is all about rich texture, dimensional layering, and crisp details.

Here is exactly how I built this citrus-filled summer card:

  • Creating the Textured Base: I started by running a beautiful piece of Seaside cardstock through my die-cutting machine using the Arched Tiles Embossing Folder. This created a gorgeous, deeply textured tile background that perfectly mimics a breezy Mediterranean patio.

  • Building a Dimensional Frame: Next, I took the exclusive Citrus Frame Die Set and die-cut it three separate times from crisp white cardstock. I stacked and adhered these layers together to build up a thick, sturdy dimensional frame.

  • Ink Blending the Foliage and Fruit: Using a blending brush, I softly colored the lush lemon tree leaves directly onto the frame. Separately, I die-cut extra lemons and individual leaves, ink-blended them with bright, sunny colors, and layered them beautifully over the border to give the frame an organic, overflowing look.

  • Crafting the Sentiment: For that perfect, eye-catching greeting, I used the Squeeze the Day Stamp & Cut set. I stamped the sentiment using a crisp black pigment ink, coated it with clear embossing powder, and heat-set it for a gorgeous glossy finish before die-cutting it out.

I am absolutely in love with how the bright yellows and crisp greens pop against that textured Seaside blue background! The exclusive dies and stamps in this Super Hero kit truly make it easy to create an elegant, layered masterpiece that feels like a fresh start to the month.
