Hello, everyone! Summer is just around the corner, and I am so excited to share this adorable travel-themed card featuring the Spellbinders May 2026 Small Die of the Month Club set.

 

The Ready to Roll die set is perfect for anyone dreaming of their next getaway. For this project, I used Cosmic Sky cardstock for a deep, bold background that really makes the vibrant suitcase pop. Speaking of the suitcase, I layered Waterfall and Seaside cardstock to give it a fresh, tropical feel.

To add some personality, I tucked a cute little puppy (cut from Fawn cardstock) and a cool cat (in Fog cardstock) right inside the luggage. The tiny details like the passport and ticket were created using Indigo and Carrot cardstock. For a fun finishing touch, I used the leftover heart die-cuts from the cat’s sunglasses to decorate the background!

The sentiment, “Let’s see where this goes!”, is from the May Clear Stamp and Die of the Month (Burst of Summer). I heat embossed it in white to keep it crisp against the dark blue cardstock.

Step-by-Step Process

  • Step 1: Cut the main card base and background panel from Cosmic Sky cardstock.

  • Step 2: Die-cut the suitcase pieces using Waterfall and Seaside cardstock, then assemble the layers to create dimension.

  • Step 3: Create your travelers! Die-cut the dog from Fawn and the cat from Fog. Don’t forget the stylish pink sunglasses.

  • Step 4: Add the travel essentials like the passport and plane ticket using Indigo and Carrot scraps.

  • Step 5: Stamp the sentiment onto the bottom of the panel and heat emboss with white powder.

  • Step 6: Assemble the scene by tucking the characters into the suitcase and finishing with the small heart accents.
