Vibrant Stenciled Beauty: Hero Arts Tranquil Garden Collection
I am so excited to share another project featuring the Tranquil Garden Collection from Hero Arts. While the previous card focused on intricate die-cutting, this card highlights the stunning results you can achieve using only stencils. The Lotus Field Layering Stencil Set creates a beautiful, continuous floral pattern that feels like a serene pond captured on paper.
This card focuses on the art of ink blending and layering to create a vibrant, all-over pattern:
Stenciling: I used the Lotus Field Layering Stencil Set to create the backdrop. Although these stencils are designed to coordinate with the Lotus Field LetterPress foil plate, they work beautifully on their own. I blended a variety of pink-toned inks to give the flowers a bright, multi-dimensional look.
Background & Framing: To make the colors pop, I trimmed the stenciled panel and mounted it onto an Indigo cardstock base. The deep navy blue provides a perfect contrast to the bright pink and green hues.
The Sentiment: For the sentiment, I turned to the Lovely Labels Letterpress + Foil & Cut set. This time, I chose a bold look by using White Hot Foil on black cardstock. I die-cut the sentiment and adhered it to the center of the card.
Finishing Touches: To complete the design, I added Antique Silver embellishments across the panel. These small details add a touch of vintage elegance and catch the light beautifully.
I love how a simple stenciling technique can create such a high-impact, professional-looking card. It’s a great way to let the colors shine!
