Welcome back to my blog! I am so excited to share more inspiration from the Simon Says Stamp March New Release. Today’s card is all about elegant layering and beautiful floral details, featuring two of my favorites from this release: the Honeybell Floral Wafer Dies and the Scalloped Arches Wafer Dies.
For the background, I chose a deep, rich tone using Spellbinders Oceanside cardstock. To create a soft contrast in the center, I die-cut the Scalloped Archesusing Spellbinders Waterfall cardstock. The combination of these two blue tones creates a beautiful, calming backdrop.
The stars of the show are the Honeybell Floral Wafer Dies. I die-cut several sets from white cardstock and started by lightly coloring them with a blending brush. To add depth and dimension, I then used markers to intensify the shading on the petals. This layering of color really makes the blossoms look life-like!
For the sentiment, I used the Simon Says Stamp Friendship clear stamp set. I stamped the message in crisp black ink and die-cut it using the Scalloped Arches dieto match the frame. I mounted the sentiment with foam stickers to give it a lovely raised effect. To finish the card, I added a touch of warmth with Spellbinders Peach Blush Color Essentials Gems.
Thank You for Stopping By!
I hope this card inspires you to play with different cardstock colors and coloring techniques on your die-cuts. There are so many ways to mix and match these new products!
Have a wonderful day and Happy crafting!
