Welcome back to my blog! Today, I’m thrilled to introduce the second card from the Simon Says Stamp March New Release. While this design is elegantly simple, it features a beautiful texture that I think you’ll love. The star of this project is the Apple Blossoms 3D Embossing Folder.
To create this textured look, I used a fun inking technique. I first applied a pool color ink onto the Apple Blossoms Embossing Folder using a brayer. Then, I ran it through with white cardstock. This process colors most of the background during the embossing step.
To give the background a more polished and seamless look, I went back in with a coordinating marker to touch up the color around the blossoms. Once the coloring was complete, I trimmed the panel and adhered it to the card base.
For the sentiment, I used the CZ Design Bereavement Thank Yous set. I stamped “I appreciate all you have done” on black cardstock with watermark ink, applied white embossing powder, and heat-set it for a crisp, raised finish. After die-cutting the sentiment, I placed it right in the center of the card. To finish everything off, I added a few Gold Pearls from Craft Consortium for a touch of elegance.
I love how the white blossoms pop against that refreshing pool-colored background. It’s such a simple yet effective way to let the 3D details shine!
Have a wonderful day and Happy crafting!

That embossing folder looks gorgeous – I’ve been wanting to try out some more 3D embossing lately!
