Today, I’m excited to share two Halloween cards featuring the Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Kit! This kit is packed with amazing stamps and dies that make spooky cardmaking so much fun. Let’s dive into how both cards came together!
Miss Witch Halloween Card
Creating the Background Panel:
Stamped the Web Background onto white cardstock using VersaMark ink and heat-embossed it with silver embossing powder.
Added extra depth and texture by splattering Raven Liquid Watercolor across the embossed web panel.
Cut a piece of Fog Cardstock to 1″ x 5.5″ to create a subtle door side panel on the right.
Die-cut the witch elements using Mint Cardstock for the skin, Carrot Cardstock for the vibrant hair, and Raven Cardstock for the hat and outfit.
Assembled the witch and adhered the pieces onto the card base using foam adhesives for extra dimension.
Stamped the “Boo to you” sentiment from the ‘Tis Near Halloween Stamp Set, die-cut it out, and mounted it near the bottom right panel with foam tape.
Spooky Brew Halloween Card
Creating the Eerie Background:
Stamped the Web Background onto Mint Cardstock.
Inked and shaded the edges with black ink to create a dark, shadowy vignette effect.
Added splatters using Raven Liquid Watercolor to give the background a mysterious, spooky vibe.
Stamped the images from the Spooky Brew Stamp Set (included in the kit) onto white cardstock.
Colored the cauldron, pumpkins, crows, and potion steam with markers.
Die-cut the colored images and adhered them to the background using foam adhesive for dimension.
Heat-embossed the “Happy Halloween” sentiment onto white cardstock using silver embossing powder.
Layered the sentiment over 3 die-cut pieces to create a sturdy, dimensional die-cut look before adhering it to the top of the card.
