3 Elegant Cards Featuring Spellbinders Create Your Way Everyday Collection

Hello crafting friends! Today, I’m excited to share three different cards created using the new Create Your Way Everyday Collection by Spellbinders. From vibrant press-inked florals to 3D embossing and shimmering opal foil on dark indigo paper, this collection offers so many creative possibilities! Let’s dive into how each of these cards came together

Congratulations Floral Card

Pressing & Coloring the Floral Image:

I pressed the floral image from the Thanks in Bloom Press + Foil Plates onto BetterPress paper using black ink and colored the detailed flowers and leaves with markers.

Blending & Splattering:

Using a large blending brush, I softly blended Pool ink around the background. Then, I added gold watercolor ink splatters across the panel for a luxurious sheen

Creating Dimension:

I die-cut the panel using the Playful Stitched Panels Etched Dies. I attached the center stitched piece using foam tape for elevated dimension and glued the remaining outer pieces directly onto the card base.

Foiling the Sentiment:

Using my new Glimmer II Hot Foil System, I gold hot-foiled a sentiment from the Timeless Greetings Press + Foil Plates. I trimmed both horizontal ends using the same Playful Stitched Panels die so the stitched pattern aligned seamlessly.

Final Touch:

I embellish the panel with Satin Gold Sequins from the Woodland Tales Collection for a subtle, sparkling finish!

Bright Butterfly Encouragement Card

Embossing & Background Ink Blending:

I embossed a white cardstock panel using the Petunia Cascade 3D Embossing Folder and lightly blended Pool ink along the sides using a large blending brush.

Coloring the Embossed Petunias:

To highlight the petunias, I added soft touches of color directly over the embossed flowers using colored pencils

Hot Foiling & Coloring Butterflies:

Using the Bright Butterflies Press + Foil Plate & Die Set, I black hot-foiled the butterflies onto white cardstock, colored them with markers, and die-cut them.

Foiling Sentiment & Assembly:

I black hot-foiled the matching sentiment from the same set, die-cut it, and mounted both the butterflies and sentiment with foam adhesive. I finished the card with Onyx Color Essentials Gems.

Indigo Windows Card

Foiling the Background:

I hot-foiled the background plate from the Windows with a View Press + Foil Plate & Die Set onto deep Indigo cardstock using Opal Glimmer Hot Foil

Creating the Pop-Out Window:

I hot-foiled the same plate onto white cardstock with Opal foil and die-cut the windows. I picked one arched window and colored the flowers inside with markers.

Color-Matching Edges & Assembly:

I colored the white die-cut edge of the window using an indigo marker to match the background, then popped it up directly over its matching window shape with foam tape.

Sentiment & Finishing:

I gold hot-foiled a message from the Signature Sentiments Press + Foil Plate & Die Set onto white cardstock, die-cut it, attached it with foam tape, and added opal gems for extra shine!
