Warm Autumn Harvest Cards with Hero Arts October My Monthly Hero Kit

Hello crafting friends! October has officially arrived, and it is time to celebrate the beauty of the fall harvest! Today, I’m excited to share a collection of cards created with the Hero Arts October My Monthly Hero Kit and Super Hero (Premium) Kit.

This month’s theme centers around the rich textures and colors of autumn—featuring vibrant stenciled Indian corn, lush sunflowers, and vintage seed packet designs.

1. Vintage Pumpkin Seed Packet Card

For my first card, I created a cozy vintage seed packet using the Seed Packet Die Set and Nature Daily Stamp & Cut Set.

Card Base & Seed Packet:

I used Truffle Cardstock for the card base. For the seed packet, I die-cut Fawn Cardstock using the Seed Packet Die, stamped the pumpkin and vine images onto it, and colored them with colored pencils.

The frame of  the seed packet was die-cut from Fern Cardstock. For the sentiment banners, I heat-embossed the text using white embossing powder on the same Fern Cardstock.

💡 Crafting Tip: Instead of stamping first and trying to align the die over it, die-cut the banner piece first! Then, slightly bend the clear stamp to match the curved shape of the die-cut piece before stamping. This makes alignment so much easier and perfectly precise.

Pumpkin Seeds:

I die-cut the pumpkin seeds from Alabaster Cardstock and added subtle shading with a blending brush to give them realistic depth. Then, I tucked them inside the top opening of the seed packet

2. Sunflower Bouquet Bucket Card

For my second card, I created a vibrant bouquet of sunflowers sitting inside a rustic bucket.

Textured Background:

I dry-embossed white cardstock using the Linen 3D Embossing Folder from the Texture & Foliage Collection to add a crisp, woven background texture.

Sunflower Bouquet & Bucket:

I die-cut the sunflowers using Saffron, Tuscan, Truffle, Rainforest, and Carrot Cardstock with the Sunflower Die Set. For the bucket, I used Fog and Anchor Cardstock to give it a soft, realistic metallic look.

Sentiment & Finishing Touches:

The sentiment is from the Grateful & Thanks Stamp & Cut Set. I stamped “Grateful” in green ink, die-cut it, and stacked multiple die-cut layers behind it for extra dimension. To finish the card, I embellished it with matching green enamel dots.

3. Dried Corn & Copper Framed Card

For my third card, I created a deep autumn look using rich navy indigo tones paired with warm metallic copper and stenciled corn elements.

Textured Navy Background & Panel:

I dry-embossed Indigo Cardstock using the Dimpled 3D Embossing Folder from the Texture & Foliage Collection for a gorgeous, tactile background. Then, I die-cut another piece of Indigo Cardstock using the Seed Packet Die to create the center panel.

Heat-Embossed Sentiments:

On the Indigo center panel, I heat-embossed “LOVE” and “HOPE” using white embossing powder with stamps from the Nature Daily Stamp Set. For the focal sentiment “Thankful” (from the Grateful & Thanks Stamp & Cut Set), I gold heat-embossed it on white cardstock, die-cut it, and stacked three layers for extra dimension before adhering it between “LOVE” and “HOPE”.

Copper Accent Frame:

I die-cut the seed packet frame out of Copper Metallic Cardstock and attached it around the central panel to give the card a refined metallic border.

Colorful Stenciled Corn & Bow:

Using the Dried Corn Decor Die Set, I die-cut three ears of corn out of Tuscan, Saffron, and Sicily Cardstock. To add rich detail, I used the Colorful Corn Stencil to stencil the colorful kernel patterns over each ear. The center corn piece was mounted with foam adhesive for a popped-up 3D look. Finally, I die-cut the bow element from the same Copper Metallic Cardstock to tie the bundle together

4. Oval Window Stenciled Corn Card

For my final card, I created a clean and dimensional window card featuring vibrant stenciled corn.

Dimensional Oval Window Background:

I die-cut an oval window from a top panel of Alabaster Cardstock. Beneath the window panel, I placed Terracotta Cardstock to create a warm background glow. I mounted the top panel using foam tape to elevate the window and add noticeable dimension.

Stenciled Corn & Sentiments:

I stenciled the ears of corn using the Colorful Corn Stencil and cut them out with the matching die before adhering them across the window opening. On the Terracotta background, I white heat-embossed “FEELING SO” from the Grateful & Thanks Stamp Set. For “Grateful”, I white heat-embossed it onto Fern Cardstock, die-cut it out, and layered it across the corn.

Cute Accent:

To finish the design, I added a tiny die-cut yellow heart at the top edge, which was cut using one of the small accent dies from the Seed Packet Die Set.

I hope these fall harvest cards bring a little warm autumn inspiration to your craft space! I had so much fun playing with all the rich textures, colorful corn stencils, and cozy seed packet details in this month’s release. I’d love to know which card is your favorite!

Happy Crafting, Heejung
