Whimsical Holiday Friends with Spellbinders July Club Kits!

Hi everyone! Were you wondering where the sweet little elf from yesterday’s Large Die Club went? Well, he was busy hanging out with some very adorable friends!

Today’s card brings together a whole crew of festive characters. When you get The Deluxe Caboodle Value Club (All Clubs) kit this month, you receive some amazing exclusive bonuses. I decided to gather the elf, the adorable bonus teddy bear, and the exclusive penguin all on one playful card!

To set the scene, I wanted to create a dramatic front door layout where these cute characters are peeking out to welcome the holidays.

  • The Textured Background: For the base, I used this month’s 3D Embossing Folder, “Festive Greetings”, and ran it through with Fog cardstock. The soft, light gray tone gives a gorgeous, subtle shadow effect to the embossed holiday text.

The Crimson Front Door: To create a bold focal point, I cut a front door panel from Poppy cardstock. To give it a realistic, cozy texture, I hand-drew detailed woodgrain patterns directly onto the paper using markers before assembling the door panels.

The Peeking Characters: I lined up our three festive friends tucked neatly along the edge of the door:

  • The festive Elf from the “Merry Shuffle” Large Die Set peeking from the bottom.

  • The adorable Teddy Bear from the “Merry Bear” bonus set wearing a cozy Santa hat in the middle.

  • The sweet Penguin from the “Candy Cane Swing” exclusive die set balancing a tiny Christmas tree hat on top.

The Sentiment: For the perfect elegant touch on the door, I used this month’s BetterPress & Foil Club, the “Festive Forest” Press & Foil Plate. I foiled the “MAKE IT MEMORABLE” sentiment onto white cardstock using Matte Gold Foil, die-cut it, and attached it right onto the door panel.

I love how the hand-drawn woodgrain on the Poppy door adds a warm, rustic touch, and the shimmering matte gold foiled sentiment ties the whole look together beautifully! Having all three characters stacked up creates such a fun, joyful energy, and it’s the perfect way to showcase these fantastic July club sets.
