Elegant Upright Italic “Joy to the World” Card
Hello, crafting friends! Today, I’m sharing another elegant holiday card featuring the Upright Italic Holiday Sentiments Press + Foil Bundle by Paul Antonio from Spellbinders. This time, I worked with the beautiful Upright Italic Joy to the World Press + Foil Plate. The combination of cool silver foil on deep indigo cardstock paired with fresh, modern winter colors creates a look that is both sophisticated and festive!
Foiling the Sentiment: I began by hot foiling the Upright Italic Joy to the World Press + Foil Plate onto deep Indigo cardstock using Matte Silver Foil. The crisp, clean silver calligraphy looks absolutely striking against the dark background.
Embossing the Background: To frame the sentiment beautifully, I embossed the foiled panel using the Molded Frame 3D Embossing Folder from the Yana’s Daisies Collection. This adds a subtle, geometric elegance that frames the text perfectly.
Die-Cutting the Florals: I selected the Festive Floral Mix dies (from the Dear Santa Die Bundle) to create my floral accents.
I die-cut the leafy branches and holly leaves from bright Peridot ColorWheel Cardstock.
For the poinsettias and small blossoms, I used a beautiful combination of Windy ColorWheel Cardstock and Cascade cardstock to give them a soft, icy winter look
Assembly: I arranged the vibrant green leaves and cool blue poinsettias in opposing corners, creating a gorgeous framing effect around the foiled sentiment. I finished the flowers off with small gold centerpieces for a touch of contrast.
