Last Chance for June Clubs: Mahalo Sea Turtle | Spellbinders June 2026 Small Die of the Month

Hello, crafty friends!

Today is a very important day if you’ve been eyeing any of the gorgeous ocean-themed kits from Spellbinders this month. It is the absolute last day to purchase or subscribe to the June 2026 Club Kits! After today, these exclusive designs will either disappear or return later at a much higher retail price. To give you one final bit of inspiration before the deadline, I’m sharing a sweet, ocean-breeze card featuring the Small Die of the Month Club kit: “Mahalo Sea Turtle.”

Here is how I brought this peaceful underwater scene to life!

  • Creating the Soft Blue Base: I started by preparing a two-layer base. On the bottom cardstock layer, I used a large blending brush to softly blend a beautiful Pool color ink right in the center, creating a glowing water effect.

  • Die-Cutting the Ocean Waves: Next, I took an A2-sized piece of crisp white cardstock and die-cut the intricate wave background design included in the Mahalo Sea Turtle small die set. I layered this white wave panel directly over my ink-blended base to frame the glowing water underneath.

  • Assembling the Sea Turtle: I die-cut the adorable sea turtle from green and cream cardstock. To give his shell and flippers a realistic, dimensional look, I used a small blending brush to softly add shading around the edges. I then attached him to the center of the waves using foam stickers to make him look like he’s swimming off the page!

  • Adding the Sentiment: For the tropical greeting, I die-cut the “Mahalo” sentiment banner from vibrant Waterfall cardstock and nestled it right above our swimming turtle.

  • Finishing with Sparkle: To mimic floating ocean bubbles and add a touch of elegant shimmer, I scattered Aura Opalescent Color Essentials Sequins alongside coordinating aqua blue sequins all around the wave window.
