Creating a Magical Wedding Card with Spellbinders Classic Mouse Wedding Collection
Love is in the air, and so is a bit of Disney magic! Today, I am incredibly excited to share a romantic, fairy-tale wedding card featuring the brand-new Classic Mouse Wedding Collection from Spellbinders. Combining intricate details, beautiful textures, and a soft, dreamy color palette, this card is perfect for celebrating a lifetime of love and happy ever afters. Let’s dive into how this magical piece came together!
Creating the Backdrop: I started by embossing a piece of crisp white cardstock using the gorgeous Arbor & Ivy 3D Cut & Emboss Folder. To give the background a soft, ethereal glow, I gently blended Pool color ink over the raised design using a blending brush.
Dressing the Bride & Groom: Using the Classic Mouse Wedding Etched Dies, I brought Mickey and Minnie to life. Mickey is looking dapper in a suit cut from vibrant Malibu cardstock. For Minnie’s stunning wedding gown and the elegant bow above the bell, I wanted a touch of luxury, so I die-cut them from the brushed metallic finish found in the Antique White Assorted Treasured Cardstock.
Adding Charming Accessories: To build the scene, I used the Classic Mouse Wedding Accessories die set to create Minnie’s beautiful bridal bouquet and the wedding bell.
Bringing Out the Details: For extra delicacy, Minnie’s elegant veil was die-cut from soft vellum paper. I then added a dazzling touch of sparkle to the wedding rings and her headpiece using Spectrum AB Color Essentials Gems.
Adding the Glimmering Sentiment: For the perfect finishing touch, I used the Classic Mouse Wedding Sentiments Press + Foil Plate & Die Set to hot foil the “Just Married” sentiment in a beautiful silver finish, then die-cut it to pop right onto the arch.
Decorating the Arch: To complete the romantic setting, I die-cut various sizes of roses in multiple shades of pink and arranged them beautifully along the embossed arch, creating a lush, blooming floral canopy for the lovely couple.
This collection is a dream come true for anyone who loves classic romance and timeless characters. I had so much fun piecing together every little detail, from the textured metallic gown to the tiny sparkling gems. I hope this project brings a little magic and inspiration to your craft room today!
