Celebrating Spellbinders’ 23rd Birthday with a Party Time Dragon Card!

Hello, crafty friends!

Today, I am incredibly excited to share a super cute and festive birthday card featuring a very special guest. Spellbinders is celebrating its 23rd Birthday, and to mark the occasion, they have released an adorable exclusive gift-with-purchase die set! If you love cute characters as much as I do, you are going to fall in love with these little dragons.

Here is a closer look at how I created this birthday celebration card.

Creating the Whimsical Background: I started by creating a beautifully textured background using the Whimsical Skies 3D Embossing Folder by Vicky Papaioannou. The swirling cloud patterns add the perfect playful, dreamy atmosphere for our flying friends.
Die-Cutting the Postage Frame: To frame the scene, I used the Postage Edge Rectangles Etched Dies to cut out a crisp white postage-stamp-style frame. It beautifully highlights the central elements.

Assembling the Dragons: For the main stars of the show, I die-cut the adorable dragons using the exclusive Party Time Dragon Etched Dies. I chose a vibrant and fun color palette using premium cardstock:

Violet & Mulberry for the gorgeous deep purple dragon.
Dahlia & Blush for the sweet pink dragon.
Waterfall for those lovely aqua-toned wings and accents.

Adding the Sentiment: To complete the card, I die-cut a bold Layered Happy Birthday sentiment and adhered it right at the bottom of the postage frame.
