Tote-Ally Sweet: A Pastel Market Weave Creation
Hello, everyone! I’m back with another project from the Hero Arts Tote-Ally Awesome Collection. For this card, I wanted to lean into a softer, more playful pastel palette while incorporating some fantastic texture from Spellbinders.
Texturizing the Background I started with Waterfall cardstock and ran it through the machine using the Spellbinders April Embossing Folder Club of the Month, “Market Weave.“ The pattern perfectly complements the tote bag theme! To make the texture pop, I lightly blended ink around the edges with a blending brush, creating a soft, framed effect.
Designing the Pastel Tote For the bag itself, I used the Tote Bag Die with a combination of Tutu and Alabaster cardstock. Instead of bold primaries, I went with a lovely pastel vibe by stamping the sentiment from the Totes the Best stamp set using Wisteria ink. It gives the bag such a fresh, spring-like look!
Custom Charms and Flair The details are where the magic happens! I used the Tiny Treasure stamp and die set to create a fruit-themed keychain. I finished these with gold heat embossing and colored them with markers before die-cutting and hanging them from the handle. To add even more personality, I used the Got Flair die set to create the “I ❤️ U” and smiley face accents, giving the bag a trendy, customized “patch” look.
Lastly, I carefully arranged all the die-cut elements to ensure the gold embossing and the fun flair stood out against the woven background. This card is a perfect mix of texture and color, and I hope it brings a smile to your face!
Happy Crafting! Heejung Hunsberger
