Carry On Together: A Heartwarming Travel-Themed Card
Hello everyone! I’m back with a sweet and simple card featuring the We All Have Baggage Collection from Spellbinders. This project combines adorable die-cutting with a clean, embossed sentiment for a polished look that’s perfect for letting someone know you’re there for them.
Prepare the Base: Start with a card base made from Bellini ColorWheel Cardstock. The soft peach tone provides a warm, inviting background for the mint and teal elements.
Stamping & Embossing: Using the Keep Calm Sentiments stamp set from Hero Arts, stamp the sentiment in Black Pigment Ink. While the ink is still wet, sprinkle Clear Embossing Powder over it and set it with a heat tool. This creates a beautiful, high-gloss raised finish that adds a touch of sophistication.
Die-Cutting the Tote: Use the Rolling Craft Tote Etched Dies to cut the main suitcase from Mint and Teal Topaz cardstock. For the details, use Silver Cardstock for the handle extension and Raven Cardstock for the wheels and the top handle.
Creating the Character: To add a whimsical touch, die-cut the adorable bear from the Charmed Life (Large Die of the Month) set.
Assembly: Layer the suitcase pieces together and tuck the bear inside the tote so he’s “carrying on” with you. Adhere the completed assembly to the center of the card front.
