Sweet Birthday Wishes with the Make it & Bake it Collection

Hello everyone! I am so excited to share a card featuring the brand new Make it & Bake it Collection by Tina Smith from Spellbinders. If you love baking or simply enjoy the cozy aesthetic of a well-loved kitchen, this collection is a dream come true!

For today’s project, I used the Fluff, Frost & Roll Etched Dies. I have a personal soft spot for wooden kitchen tools, so I wanted to bring that warm, rustic feel to this card.

Creating the Kitchen Tools:

I die-cut the whisk, spatula, and wooden spoon using Fawn cardstock for the handles to mimic that natural wood look I love.

The Backdrop:

I used a Bellini cardstock for the card base to provide a soft, peachy glow. For the central focal point, I die-cut a white backdrop using the Fluted Classic Ovals Die.

Floral Details:

To frame my kitchen tools, I used the leaves and stems from the In Bloom Egg Die set. These were die-cut from mint cardstock and enhanced with ink blending. I also added flowers and leaves from the Fluff, Frost & Roll set, die-cut from Bellini cardstock, with some extra ink blending in the centers for depth.

The Finishing Touches:

I added a beautiful green ribbon bow, which was die-cut using the Gorgeous You Perfume Bottle Etched Dies and colored to match.

Sentiment:

For the final touch, I used the Cheers to You Sentiment BetterPress Plate. I opted for white hot foiling on black cardstock to make the “Make a Wish” sentiment really pop.
