Hello, crafting friends! Can you believe we are already in February? Today, I am thrilled to share a card that combines two of my favorite textures: intricate stitching and deep 3D embossing. This project features the Spellbinders February 2026 Stitching Die of the Month and the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month.
This card is a true labor of love, blending soft colors with rich, tactile details:
3D Embossed Background:
For the backdrop, I used the February 3D Embossing Folder of the Month. I embossed a white cardstock panel to create a stunning, high-relief leafy pattern. To give it a soft, ethereal look, I lightly blended a pale blue ink over the raised design.
The Stitched Tree:
The star of the show is the beautiful blossoming tree from the February Stitching Die of the Month. I die-cut the tree trunk from a warm kraft cardstock and the lush leaves from a vibrant green.
Delicate Stitching:
I die-cut the flowers from a soft pink cardstock and spent some relaxing time stitching them with coordinating embroidery floss. Adding a small pearl to the center of each flower gave them a polished, elegant finish.
Framing the Scene:
To draw the eye inward, I created a teal blue frame using an arch die and mounted it over the embossed panel. This adds a bold pop of color that complements the pink blossoms perfectly.
The Sentiment:
I finished the card with a “Sunny Hello” sentiment, stamped and die-cut onto a matching pink banner to tie all the elements together.
There is something so special about the combination of 3D embossing and hand-stitching. It creates a card that isn’t just a greeting, but a keepsake. I hope this “Sunny Hello” brings a bit of warmth to your winter crafting!
