Celebrate Spring with Hero Arts: No One Lilac You

Hello, crafty friends! Spring is just around the corner, and I am so excited to share a fresh, floral card featuring the Hero Arts February New Release. Today’s project focuses on the stunning No One Lilac You Stamp & Cut XL set. Lilacs are one of my favorite spring blooms, and this set captures their delicate beauty perfectly. I combined soft watercoloring with elegant script stamping to create a textured, layered look.

Making this card was a joy! Here is a breakdown of how I brought this spring lilac scene to life:

Creating the Watercolor Background:

I started with a piece of watercolor cardstock and applied a soft light blue wash. I let the colors blend naturally to create a dreamy, airy sky effect.

Adding Script Texture:

Once the background was completely dry, I used the Birdsong Script Cling Stamp and Lilac Ink to stamp over the blue wash. This adds a sophisticated vintage feel to the card.

Stamping and Embossing the Lilacs:

I stamped the main image from the No One Lilac You set using black pigment ink. To give it a professional, raised finish, I sprinkled Clear Embossing Powder over the wet ink and set it with a heat tool.

Coloring and Assembly:

I colored the lilacs and leaves with alcohol markers to make them pop. After coloring, I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out. I used foam stickers to attach the vase of lilacs to the background for some extra dimension.

The Sentiment:

For the “Hello Friend” sentiment, I used black cardstock and stamped with Versamark ink. I applied White Embossing Powder and heat-set it, then die-cut the sentiment and popped it onto the card.

I hope this card inspires you to pull out your floral stamps and get ready for the blooming season! There is something so therapeutic about coloring lilacs and playing with soft blue tones. Thank you for stopping by today!
