Elegant Floral Glow: Loving You Bouquet Card

I am back with a third project for the Simon Says Stamp January collection! This card features the stunning Loving You Bouquet stamp set. I wanted to create a dramatic, high-contrast look that feels both elegant and artistic, using deep teal tones and shimmering gold.

How to Make This Card

1. Creating the Dramatic Inked Background I started with Waterfall cardstock and used blending brushes to apply Teal and Desert Night inks. By focusing the darker Desert Night ink around the edges, I created a deep, moody glow in the center.

2. Gold Embossing and Splatter Once the ink was dry, I stamped the floral images from the Loving You Bouquet set in the corners using VersaMark ink. I applied Gold embossing powder and heat set it. To add a touch of magic, I finished the background with white pearl splatters for a starry, dramatic effect.

3. Adding Dimensional Texture To create a unique layout, I used two sizes of Chunky Scalloped Ovals dies. I glued the outer frame and the very center piece flat to the card base, but popped the middle oval up with foam tape. This creates a beautiful recessed/layered look that adds instant depth.

4. The Main Floral Focal Point I stamped the bouquet again on white cardstock using VersaMark and Gold embossing powder. After coloring the flowers with vibrant alcohol markers, I used the same trick as my peacock card: I colored the white die-cut edges with a marker that matched my background ink. This makes the floral piece blend seamlessly into the dark teal panel.

5. Finishing with the Sentiment I added a simple white banner with a gold-embossed sentiment, “You’re forever in my heart,” which ties the whole elegant look together.
