Spellbinders 12 Days of Stitchmas 2025 Day 5

DAY 5 – Warm Winter Wishes Mug Tag

12 Days of Stitchmas 2025 Advent Calendar

Day 5 carries the warmth of winter—
a small red mug, soft stitching, and the quiet shimmer of falling snow.
What remained from earlier days began this tag: saved backgrounds, tiny leftover pieces,
and colors that feel like a cup of something warm on a cold morning.

For the base, I used a leftover background created earlier with the
Snowfall Shimmer BetterPress Plate from the Wonderland Collection
white cardstock pressed with Satin Pastel hot foil, giving the snowflakes a gentle shine.
I trimmed the piece and shaped the top using the 3-in-1 Tag Punch | Spellbinders.

Along the bottom edge, I added a strip that remained from Day 4’s pink-tag scraps,
bringing a soft gradient of color beneath the snowflake pattern.

The mug from Day 5 of the Stitchmas Advent Calendar was die cut from
Cranberry cardstock and stitched with white thread.
Inside the mug, the dripping cocoa was cut from Truffle cardstock,
adding a warm, rich contrast to the stitched trees.

For the sentiment, I used another leftover piece from the
Merry Messages Plate & Die Set – Wonderland Collection
hot foiled in white on red cardstock and kept from a previous project.
I simply added it across the bottom to finish the tag.

Warm colors, stitched lines, and saved pieces coming together—
Day 5 holds the quiet comfort of winter.

Day 5 is a reminder that warmth can be made from little things—
scraps, stitching, and familiar shapes finding a new moment to shine.
Day 6 arrives tomorrow with another stitched story.

Happy crafting, Heejung.
