Spellbinders 12 Days of Stitchmas 2025 Day 3

DAY 3 – Happy Holidays Tree Tag

12 Days of Stitchmas 2025 Advent Calendar

Day 3 arrives with a quieter charm—
a stitched tree, soft colors, and simple layers built from pieces already touched on Day 1 and Day 2.
There is something comforting about seeing familiar scraps return,
shaped into a small celebration of the season.

The tree from Day 3 of the Stitchmas Advent Calendar was stitched with silver metallic thread,
giving each line a soft, frosted shimmer.
I die cut the sentiment ribbons from Tutu cardstock and layered them across the tree,
keeping the look gentle and bright.

At the bottom, I added a scalloped detail cut from white glitter cardstock,
a small snowy edge that completes the tree.

For the tag base, I used leftover gray patterned strips from Day 1.
I trimmed them neatly and adhered them onto a white 2 1/2″ tag base made with the
3-in-1 Tag Punch | Spellbinders, just as I did for Day 2.
After the strips were glued in straight horizontal rows,
I trimmed the excess along the sides and re-punched the top to match the tag shape.

To ground the tree, I used the oval piece that was die cut from the Day 1 tag
(the piece removed when creating the window).
I adhered the oval to the center of the striped base and added the stitched tree on top with foam adhesive,
letting it stand slightly forward with soft dimension.

The result is calm and sweet—silver stitching, soft pink ribbons,
and scraps woven through days of this small December journey.

Day 3 reminds me how quietly beautiful small leftovers can be—
threads, strips, and die-cut pieces finding new meaning together.
Tomorrow brings Day 4, and another stitched moment awaits.

Happy Crafting!
