Spellbinders- Bibi’s Musical Notes Collection
A Symphony of Cards: Creating with Bibi’s Musical Notes Collection
I’m so excited to share three new cards I’ve made using the latest Bibi’s Musical Notes Collection from Spellbinders. This collection, designed by Bibi Cameron, is perfect for anyone who loves music and wants to add a creative, melodic touch to their projects.
The star of this post is the Small Instruments Bundle, which includes three fantastic sets:
I also used the coordinating Family Musical Mix Greetings Clear Stamp Set to add just the right sentiment to each card. While each die set can be used on its own, they truly come to life when used together, creating a harmonious mix of instruments and notes.
Let’s take a closer look at each card.
Card 1: A Pop-Up Surprise
This card is a true masterpiece! The front features a charming guitar and musical notes, creating a classic and beautiful design. For the background, I used the Lined Circles embossing folder to add a subtle texture to Alabaster cardstock, which I then lightly shaded with a soft brown ink to make the design stand out even more.
The sentiment “A little happy note to say thank you” is from the Family Musical Mix Greetings Clear Stamp Set. I stamped it and then die-cut it using a die from the Sending Smile Sentiments Clear Stamp & Die Set. To finish the front, I added a few Aura AB Color Essentials Gems for a touch of sparkle.
But the real magic happens when you open the card! The Musical Notes & Stave Pop-Up die set creates a dynamic, interactive surprise inside. The musical staff and notes pop out, giving the illusion of music flowing and moving. It’s a wonderful way to combine a beautiful front with an unexpected element of surprise.
Card 2: A Collage of Instruments
For this card, I was inspired by a music concert poster!
I created a multi-panel design using a vibrant mix of Poppy, Teal Topaz, Waterfall, Saffron, and Carrot cardstock. I then die-cut the various instruments using the Mini Musical Instruments die set and layered them on top.
For the sentiments, I used the Family Musical Mix Greetings Clear Stamp Set, stamping them with VersaMark ink, applying white embossing powder, and heat-embossing them to make the text pop against the bold colors.
Card 3: A Celebration of Guitars
This card is a colorful celebration of music!
The background is Alabaster cardstock that I embossed with the Dimpled 3D Embossing Folder.
I then used the Mini Guitar die set to create four colorful guitars from Rainforest, Dahlia, Teal Topaz, and Mulberry cardstock. For the sentiment, I used a gold matte hot foil with the Curved Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Plates to create a shiny “SO HAPPY FOR YOU” banner, which I then die-cut and attached.
I had an absolute blast creating these projects! The Bibi’s Musical Notes Collection truly feels like a creative symphony, with each die set playing a unique part that can be combined in endless ways. Whether you’re a musician, a music lover, or just someone who enjoys crafting, this collection is incredibly versatile and inspiring. I can’t wait to see what other beautiful cards you all create with it. What do you think of this collection, and which card is your favorite? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
