Spellbinders- Spooktakular Collection
Hello Craft Friends,
I’ve been busy crafting up some spooky fun with the Spellbinders Spooktacular Collection, and I’m so excited to share two of my latest creations with you. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to craft for, and this collection is absolutely perfect for making cards that are both cute and a little bit creepy. The intricate dies and versatile embossing folders make it easy to create scenes that are full of dimension and character. Let’s take a closer look at the two cards I made!
Card 1: Stay Spooky
This card features a charming black cat looking through a window into a spooky, moonlit scene.
Instructions:
A gray cardstock panel was die-cut with the
Vista View Windowdie to create an arched opening. The gray cardstock was then embossed with the
Linen3D Embossing Folder. The edges of the embossed panel were shaded with dark gray ink using a blending brush for added dimension. For the window scene, a piece of lavender cardstock was blended with purple ink. A Stay
Spooky Rub-onssticker was applied to the blended cardstock to create the graveyard scene. The window frame was die-cut from white cardstock using the
Vista View Windowdie. Three layers were die-cut and adhered together to create a thick, dimensional frame. The lavender window scene was attached to the back of the gray embossed panel, followed by the white window frame on the front.
The cat was die-cut from black cardstock using the
Bewitcheddie. The eyes were die-cut from yellow cardstock, and a touch of light green color was added to the pupils. The cat was adhered to the side of the window. The sentiment “Stay Spooky” was applied to white cardstock using a Stay
Spooky Rub-onssticker, then die-cut and attached to the card front.
Card 2: Boo to You
This card showcases three playful ghosts framed in an ornate archway, ready to say “boo!”

Landscape Edgesdie. The edges were shaded with purple ink, and then white splatter was added for a ghostly, starry effect. The three ghosts were die-cut from white cardstock using the
Boo Crewdie set.An arch frame was die-cut from raven cardstock using the same
Landscape Edgesdie. The arched lavender background was layered onto the embossed panel with foam stickers for dimension. The black arch frame was then adhered on top.
The ghosts were attached within the archway. The sentiments “boo” and “to you” were die-cut from Fairy Tale cardstock and layered over a gradient-blended background. The finished words were then placed inside the arched window with foam stickers to complete the card.
I hope these cards inspire you to get crafty for Halloween! The Spellbinders Spooktacular Collection has so many wonderful elements that can be mixed and matched to create unique and festive projects. I had a blast bringing these designs to life, and I can’t wait to see what other spooky creations I can come up with. Happy crafting, and have a spooktacular Halloween!
