Spellbinders- Candy Christmas Collection
Hello everyone!
Today, I’ve brought some special Christmas cards that give off a sweet and cheerful vibe just by looking at them. These are creations made with the Spellbinders Candy Christmas Collection. ๐ชโ๏ธ๐๐
This collection is full of lovely designs, just like something out of a fairy tale gingerbread house. So, let me introduce the four cards I’ve made, one by one!
Card 1: The Gingerbread Man in the Sky
The first card features a cute gingerbread man as the main character, descending on a red paraglider.
Card Base: Die-cut with the ‘Landscape Edges’ Die.
Background: Die-cut ‘Windy’ Cardstock.
Main Image: Gingerbread man and paraglider die-cut from the ‘Gingerbread Delivery’ Die.
Clouds: Die-cut from the ‘Gingerbread Plane & Banner’ Die.
Sentiment: ‘MERRY CHRISTMAS’ from the ‘Merry Message Plate & Die’, hot foiled in white on ‘Poppy’ Cardstock, die-cut, and attached with foam stickers.
The card base was die-cut using the ‘Landscape Edges’ die, and on top of that, a base was created by die-cutting ‘Windy’ cardstock. The gingerbread man and the paraglider were made with the ‘Gingerbread Delivery’ die, and the clouds were made with the ‘Gingerbread Plan & Banner’ die. For the “MERRY CHRISTMAS” sentiment at the bottom, I hot foiled it in white on ‘Poppy’ cardstock using the ‘Merry Message Plate & Die’, then die-cut it and attached it with foam stickers to give it a three-dimensional effect.
CARD 2. Candy Airplanes Spreading Love!
The second card features two adorable airplanes in pink and sky blue. The background is the same ‘Windy’ cardstock.
Background: Die-cut ‘Windy’ Cardstock.
Clouds: Die-cut with the ‘Tunnel Clouds’ Die.
Main Images: Airplanes and banner die-cut from the ‘Gingerbread Plane & Banner’ Die.
Sentiment: ‘SENDING LOVE’ from the ‘Gingerbread Plane & Banner’ Die (part of the banner).
The whimsical clouds were created by die-cutting with the ‘Tunnel Clouds’ die, and the airplanes and banner were die-cut with the ‘Gingerbread Plane & Banner’ die. It’s a sweet scene of cookie planes flying through the clouds, carrying a warm “SENDING LOVE” message for someone special.
Card 3: A Journey on a Sweet Train
The third card features a prominent train design. The background was made by embossing with the ‘Waffle Cone 3D Embossing Folder’.
Background: ‘Waffle Cone 3D Embossing Folder’ for the main card background.
Train: Die-cut from the ‘Gingerbread Train’ Die.
Bottom Border: Die-cut with one of the ‘Sweet Border’ Dies.
Sentiment: ‘SWEET CHRISTMAS’ banner die-cut from the ‘Gingerbread Plane & Banner’ Die and placed on the train.
The dripping chocolate border at the bottom was die-cut using one of the ‘Sweet Border’ dies, and the sweet train itself was created by die-cutting with the ‘Gingerbread Train’ die. The “SWEET CHRISTMAS” sentiment banner was also die-cut from the ‘Gingerbread Plane & Banner’ die and attached to the top of the train.
Card 4: A Snowy Gingerbread House
Lastly, there’s the gingerbread house card, an essential for Christmas. The background was made by embossing with the same ‘Waffle Cone 3D Embossing Folder’.
Background: ‘Waffle Cone 3D Embossing Folder’ for the main card background.
Foreground: Die-cut dark green cardstock with the ‘Landscape’ Die, then splattered with white paint for a snowy effect.
Gingerbread House: Die-cut from the ‘Gingerbread House’ Die.ย The colorful candy decorations on the house were made with Spellbinders’ Enamel Dots.
Bottom Border: Die-cut with one of the ‘Sweet Border’ Dies.
Sentiment: ‘MERRY CHRISTMAS’ from the ‘Merry Message Plate & Die’, hot foiled in white, die-cut, and attached.
The dark green background for the house was die-cut using the ‘Landscape’ die, and I added a snowy feel by splattering white paint on top. The gingerbread house was created with the ‘Gingerbread House’ die, and I used another one of the ‘Sweet Border’ dies for the snow at the bottom. The “MERRY CHRISTMAS” sentiment was made the same way as the first card. As my family loves making gingerbread cookies every year, this collection was a real delight to work with, and I had so much fun creating this card!
So, I’ve introduced the four cards I made with the Spellbinders Candy Christmas Collection. When you look at the photos all together, you can see that each one has its own unique charm! How about you try to make a one-of-a-kind, special handmade card this Christmas to send warm wishes to your loved ones?
