Spellbinders Summer Felt Stitch & Create Collection

Hello everyone! I’m excited to share some fun projects that add summer cheer to your accessories. I’ve been using the Spellbinders Summer Felt Stitch & Create Collection to make adorable felt bag charms. They’re quick to stitch and instantly brighten any purse or tote. 

 

Let’s take a closer look at my creations:

Sweet Strawberry Delight

Embrace the sweetness of summer with this delightful strawberry bag charm! It’s a vibrant addition to any accessory.

Products Used:

  1. Felt Berry Blossom Etched Dies

  2. Felt in red, green, yellow, and white

  3. Embroidery floss in coordinating colors (red, green, black)

  4. Keyring and lobster clasp

  5. Stuffing (optional, for a plump look)

  6. Needle

  7. Scissors

  8. Hot Glue Gun

Die-cut all felt pieces for the strawberry, calyx, leaves, and flower. Add black “seeds” to the front strawberry piece. Assemble and attach the small flower to the leaf, then secure the leaf and calyx to one strawberry piece. Attach a keyring loop to the top backside. Stitch the two strawberry body pieces together, adding optional stuffing before closing.

Sweet Apple Bag Charm

This cheerful little apple serves as a reminder to find joy in the small things, brightening your day every time you reach for your keys or adorn your bag!

Products Used:

  1. Felt Cheeky Apple Etched Dies
  2. Felt in red, green, brown, yellow, and white
  3. Embroidery floss in coordinating colors (red, green, black)
  4. Keyring and lobster clasp (for attaching to keys or a bag)
  5. Stuffing (optional, for a plump look)
  6. Needle
  7. Scissors
  8. Hot Glue Gun

Die-cut all felt pieces, including two apple body pieces. Attach the face, assemble the flower, and secure the leaf, stem, and flower to one apple piece. Attach a keyring loop to the top backside. Stitch the two apple body pieces together with arms inserted, adding optional stuffing before closing.

Sunny Sunflower Bloom Charm (or Brooch)

Bring the warmth of a summer day to your bag or outfit with this cheerful sunflower!

 

Products Used:

  1. Felt Sunflower Bloom Etched Dies

  2. Felt in yellow, brown, and green

  3. Embroidery floss in coordinating colors (yellow, brown, green)

  4. Keyring and lobster clasp (if making a bag charm) OR Brooch pin (if making a brooch)

  5. Needle

  6. Scissors

Die-cut all felt pieces for the yellow petals, brown center, and green leaves. Layer and stitch the yellow petals. Create and stitch the textured brown center onto the petals. Position and stitch the green leaves behind the flower. Finally, attach either a keyring loop (for a charm) or a brooch pin (for a brooch) to the back.
