Spellbinders- Modern Botanicals Collection
Today, I’m thrilled to share two cards I created using the beautiful new Modern Botanicals Collection from Spellbinders! This collection offers a fantastic blend of modern patterns and elegant botanicals, perfect for creating unique paper crafts.
For the background of each card, I utilized different embossing folders to add texture and depth. Let’s dive into the details of each card:

Here are the products I used for this card
The background for this card was created using the Lined Circles Embossing Folder. First, I used white BetterPress specialty cardstock and applied the Growing BetterPress Plates and Flourishing BetterPress Plates to create circle and dot patterns in soft green and teal colors using the BetterPress System. After applying the BetterPress technique, I embossed the BetterPress panel again with the Lined Circles Embossing Folder to achieve a stunning layered effect for the background.
The sentiment is from the Holding Your Sentiments BetterPress Plates & Die set, BetterPressed with black ink and die-cut. The focal point features a striking blue vase die-cut from Aquamarine Treasured Cardstock using the Celamic Vases Die, and delicate foliage die-cut from silver metallic cardstock using the Sealed Wild Flowers Die and Sealed Bouquet Die.
The finishing touch was added with satin silver pearls.

Here are the products I used for this card
For the second card, mint-colored cardstock was embossed with the Lined Corners 3D Embossing Folder, creating a lovely textured base.
On a separate piece of BetterPress specialty cardstock, the Growing BetterPress Plates were used to BetterPress the circle and dot patterns. Over these patterns, a leaf sprig was then BetterPressed in a deep blue. To add a unique touch, the Torn Paper Edges Die was used to create that charming notebook-style edge on the BetterPressed panel. The sentiment is from the Holding Your Sentiments BetterPress Plates & Die set, which was hot foiled with matte gold foil on black cardstock and then die-cut. It was adhered to the card using foam stickers for dimension. Gold pearls were used to finish off this design.
The resulting cards showcase the versatility of the Modern Botanicals Collection. The combination of embossing folders and BetterPress plates allows for endless creative possibilities!
