Sending You All the Cheer with Spectacular Deer

Hello crafting friends! Today, I’m back with another adorable critter from the Spectacular Christmas Collection—the sweet Spectacular Deer Etched Dies!

As I mentioned in my previous posts, these animal head die sets are designed to share the body and accessory dies from the Spectacular Bear Etched Dies. It makes building and customizing these festive friends so versatile and fun!

For this project, I chose a soft and delicate Blush Cardstock for the card base to give it a lovely, warm feel. At the top, I stamped a clean sentiment from the Spectacular Holiday Sentiments Stamp & Die Set. I die-cut the reindeer using Acorn, Fawn, and Truffle Cardstock to achieve rich, realistic deer tones. To add that signature playful touch, I gave him festive “HO HO” glasses die-cut using Waterfall and Poppy Cardstock from the Spectacular Penguin Etched Dies set! Holding a delicious Christmas cupcake in his hands, this reindeer is ready to deliver all the holiday cheer!

Prepare the Card Base & Sentiment: Cut and fold an A2 card base from Blush Cardstock. Stamp the “SENDING YOU ALL THE Cheer” sentiment at the top using black ink with the Spectacular Holiday Sentiments Stamp & Die Set.

Die-Cut and Assemble the Reindeer: Die-cut the deer’s head, ears, and antlers using Acorn, Fawn, and Truffle Cardstock. Die-cut the body using the shared body die from the Spectacular Bear Etched Dies. Assemble the deer pieces and adhere him to the card base.

  • Add the Festive Glasses: Die-cut the cute “HO HO” glasses from the Spectacular Penguin Etched Dies using Waterfall Cardstock for the frame and Poppy Cardstock for the “HO HO” lettering, then layer them onto the deer’s face.

  • Create the Scarf & Cupcake: Die-cut the cozy striped scarf using teal tones (Waterfall and Teal Topaz Cardstock). Die-cut the cupcake from the Spectacular Bear Etched Dies set with white frosting and holly berry toppings, then tuck it right into the deer’s hands.

  • Final Assembly: Secure all elements in place with foam tape for a touch of extra dimension!

I love how soft and whimsical this sweet reindeer card turned out! Mixing and matching elements between the Bear, Penguin, and Deer sets is so rewarding, and that Blush background really lets his bright glasses and festive cupcake pop.
