Radiant Tropical Vibes: Thought You Could Use a Smile
This card is pure sunshine! It features the Spellbinders May 2026 3D Embossing Folder of the Month Club, called Radiant Day. The deep, swirling sun patterns create such a dynamic backdrop for our tropical friend.
I started by embossing a piece of Seaside cardstock with the Radiant Day folder. The texture is so rich that it almost looks like moving water or a bright summer sky! For the focal point, I used the May Large Die of the Month Club (Pop of Summer) to create this cheerful parrot and a bouquet of vibrant flowers. I love how the bold yellows and pinks pop against the soft teal background.
The sentiment, “Thought you could use a smile,” comes from the May Clear Stamp and Die of the Month (Burst of Summer). I heat embossed it in white on Raven cardstock to give it a sharp, high-contrast look that grounds the entire design.
Step-by-Step Process
Step 1: Emboss a Seaside cardstock panel using the Radiant Day 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere this to a white card base.
Step 2: Die-cut the parrot and floral elements from the Pop of Summer Large Die set using various bright cardstock scraps.
Step 3: Carefully assemble the parrot, adding those cool heart-shaped sunglasses for a touch of summer fun.
Step 4: Arrange the parrot and flowers on the embossed panel, using foam adhesive on some pieces to create layers and depth.
Step 5: Stamp the sentiment on Raven cardstock, prep with embossing powder, and heat set until crisp and white. Die-cut or trim the sentiment.
Step 6: Place the sentiment across the bottom of the floral arrangement to finish the card.
I really hope this happy little parrot brings a giant smile to your face today! There is something so therapeutic about working with bright tropical colors and deep 3D textures. Thank you for following along with my May club projects—stay tuned for more!
