Vintage Style Dad’s Cap Card with March Stitching Die Club

Today, I’m sharing a special card perfect for the “MVP” in your life—Dad! This project features the March 2026 Stitching Die of the Month, a set called “Everyday MVP”. I wanted to capture that nostalgic, well-loved feel of a favorite baseball cap, making it the perfect birthday or Father’s Day card.

The Background:

I used the Solar Flare 3D Embossing Folder (this month’s Embossing Folder Club) on Fog cardstock to create a subtle yet energetic radiating texture.

The Cap:

I die-cut the main cap from Indigo cardstock and the brim from Fawn cardstock. To give it that “lived-in” look—you know, like a dad’s favorite old hat—I added some ink blending to the brim to create realistic stains and wear.

The Stitching:

I added white stitching to the brim and the cap panels, which adds so much realistic texture and pops beautifully against the navy blue.

The Details:

The “DAD” emblem and the “BIRTHDAY MVP” sentiment were die-cut using the same “Everyday MVP” set. For a final touch, I added tiny yellow stars scattered around, which I die-cut using the “Unstoppable” Small Die of the Month set.

There’s something so heart-warming about a handmade card that captures these little life details. I hope this “vintage” cap inspires you to create something special for your own MVP!
