Trick or Treat & Hocus Pocus Cards with Hero Arts September Kit

I’m excited to share two Halloween cards featuring the Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Kit! If you missed out earlier when these were sold out, I have great newsβ€”they are BACK IN STOCK and available now!

Trick or Treat Pumpkin Card

  • Creating the Vignette Background:

    • Started with a Lavender Cardstock panel.

    • Blended darker ink around the edges to create a subtle vignette effect, making the center pop and giving it an eerie atmosphere.

Stamped the sentiment from the ‘Tis Near Halloween Stamp & Cut XL set using VersaMark ink and heat-embossed it with crisp white embossing powder.

Added soft shading to the pumpkin die-cuts to give them rich depth and dimension.

Intentionally die-cut the witch’s hand from Mint Cardstock to give it a spooky, wicked feel!

Hocus Pocus Cauldron Shaker Card

Arch Background:

  • Die-cut Carrot Cardstock using the Spellbinders Essential Arches Etched Dies.

  • Blended shading along the edges of the arch to add warmth and dimension.

Cauldron Shaker Element:

  • Built a layered cauldron using the Cauldron Shaker Die Set.

  • Attached clear acetate over the potion layers to create a fun interactive shaker element.

  • Filled the cauldron potion with die-cut bones, spiders, and Halloween sequin mixes.

Die-cut the “hocus pocus” sentiment from Black Glitter Cardstock and mounted it at the top of the arch.

Finished with Spellbinders Aura Opalescent Color Essentials Sequins scattered around the arch for extra magical sparkle.
