Spooky & Whimsical Halloween Card with Spellbinders August Small Die Club!

Hello, crafty friends! Today I’m excited to share a whimsical Halloween card created with the Spellbinders August 2026 Small Die Club, featuring the “Boo Crew Lab” Small Die Set!

This set is packed with spooky lab and library elements, perfect for building eerie yet adorable Halloween scenes.

Creating the Textured Background: I started by embossing Fog cardstock with the Spooky Web 3D Embossing Folder (3D Embossing Club). To make the spider web pattern stand out clearly, I gently shaded over the raised areas using gray ink. Then, I added black ink splatters across the panel to give it a mysterious, spooky atmosphere.

Framing the Scene: Using Anchor cardstock, I die-cut an arch window frame using the Spellbinders Arch Labels and Tag Etched Dies and mounted it over the textured background.

Die-Cutting & Shading Focal Elements: Next, I die-cut the stack of spell books from Carrot, Lilac (or Violet), Raven, and Merlot cardstock. For the little monster cake sitting on top, I used Peridot cardstock and added soft shading with a blending brush to build realistic depth and dimension.

Assembly: I layered the books, cake, cute ghost candles, and a fluttering bat inside the arch frame to complete this enchanting Halloween laboratory setup!
