Spiritual Beauty: Stained Glass Nativity & Angel Cards with Bibi’s Little Blessings Collection
Hello crafting friends! Today, I’m excited to share two cards created with Bibi’s Little Blessings Collection by Bibi Cameron for Spellbinders. The intricate Divine Arch Etched Dies serve as the main base for both cards, bringing a peaceful, holy cathedral-like atmosphere that pairs beautifully with the nativity and angel themes.
Nativity Arch Card
Card Base & Frame: Start with an Indigo cardstock base using the larger arch from the Divine Arch Etched Dies. Die-cut the gold arch frame to create a majestic outer border.
Layered Background: Cut the next arch layer using Windy cardstock and gently shade with blue ink. Layer a crisp white frame inside, followed by a Cascade cardstock background with darker ink blending along the edges.
Radiant Light & Foliage: Die-cut the sunburst detail from white cardstock, blend yellow ink over it to simulate glowing rays, and adhere white foliage accents.
Nativity Scene & Sentiment: Die-cut the nativity characters using the Nativity Blessings Etched Dies and assemble them with foam adhesive for dimension. For the sentiment banner (“MERRY CHRISTMAS”), perform gold hot foiling using the Mistletoe Greetings Press Plate & Die Set, die-cut, and attach at the bottom.
Heavenly Angels Arch Card
Layered Arch Base: Using the smaller arch from the Divine Arch Etched Dies, layer Fairy Tale cardstock at the base, followed by a Lavender panel, a Pearl Metallic Gold frame, and an innermost background made with Lilac and White cardstock layers.
Shimmering Angels: Die-cut the sweet angel figures using the Blessing Angels Etched Dies. Their wings are cut from Pearl Metallic White cardstock for a subtle, beautiful shimmer. One angel wears a dress cut from Blush cardstock, while the other is dressed in Beeswax cardstock.
Hot Foiled Sentiment: Hot foil the “JOY TO THE WORLD” sentiment onto white cardstock using Matte Gold hot foil with the Comfort & Joy Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate (discontinued), die-cut the banner, and mount with foam tape.
Both of these cards were such a joy to design, and I love how the cathedral-style arches add so much reverence and dimension to these scenes. I hope these projects inspire your holiday crafting and bring a little extra peace to your cardmaking journey!
