Nostalgic Library Card | Hero Arts August 2026 Release
Happy August, crafting friends! Today, I’m back with another piece of inspiration for the Hero Arts August 2026 My Monthly Hero Kit & Add-ons. In today’s digital world, where book logs and reading trackers are mostly kept on screens, there is something so nostalgic and heart-warming about a classic paper library card! Today’s card celebrates that vintage charm with a sweet interactive pocket and delicate floral accents.
Background Panel: I die-cut a piece of Oceanside cardstock using the Perfect Touch Rectangles and Tag Etched Dies from Spellbinders’ Happy Hour Collection to create a textured, deep blue stitched background panel, then mounted it onto a white card base.
Library Pocket: Using the Library Card & Pocket Die Set, I die-cut the sweet library pocket from vibrant Beeswax cardstock and adhered it to the center of the panel at a fun angle.
Stamped Library Card: On Alabaster cardstock, I stamped the classic book log grid from the Library Card Stamp & Cut set using warm brown ink. Then, I added the sweet sentiments using purple ink from the Altenew Enchanted Garden Fresh Dye Ink Set and tucked the completed card inside the pocket.
Floral & Spec Accents: To decorate around the pocket, I die-cut dainty daisies and greenery using Rainforest, Fairy Tale, Lavender, and Saffron cardstock. For the final whimsical touch, I added a pair of gold foil spectacles die-cut using the Big Book Die Set sitting right at the front of the pocket!
This library card design brings back so many fond memories of checking out favorite books! It’s the perfect card to send a thoughtful “You’re the best” message to a special friend or fellow book lover. Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Happy Crafting!
